Women Leadership - Nai Roshni

With the support of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, the Manav Utthan Samiti, Lucknow launched the Nai Roshni Programme for minority women in District Banda during the year 2016–17. Approval was granted for providing a 7-day training to women between the ages of 18 to 50 years in Banda, Uttar Pradesh.Under this programme, Nai Roshni training was conducted at various locations where women were developed as community leaders. They were trained in practical day-to-day skills such as Booking train tickets offline and online Opening a bank account Completing KYC formalities Making deposits and withdrawals Booking bus tickets Forming self-help groups and working collectively Training sessions were successfully conducted with the help of subject experts. After completion of the training, each beneficiary received ₹300 transferred into their bank account. For the following one year, regular meetings were held with the beneficiaries and their groups to continue guiding and strengthening the programme.
