Empowering Minority Community through Education & Awareness - Banda

With the support of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, a one-day seminar was organized by the Manav Utthan Samiti, Lucknow on 29 June 2019 at Hardauli, Development Block and Tehsil Baberu, District Banda, for the effective and meaningful participation of the minority community. The chief guest of the program, Hon’ble Chandrapal Kushwaha Ji, inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. On this occasion, former Director M. L. Gupta (Treasury & Pension, Jhansi Division) and Government Advocate Kaushal Kishore Sharma were also present. In the program, the chief guest provided detailed information about all the schemes being run by the Ministry for minority communities, such as Seekho Kamao, USTTAD, Nai Manzil, Hamari Dharohar, Naya Savera, Nai Roshni, and others. He also said that Manav Utthan Samiti has set an example by coming from Lucknow to work in such a backward and remote area. The Government Advocate present on the stage explained the rights of citizens and said that without education, people cannot gain proper knowledge. If one truly wants to gain information and achieve something in life, education is extremely important.Former Director Gupta Ji explained the various initiatives of the government, the schemes available, and how people can benefit from them.CoordinatorRamkishor Chaurasia said that without education we remain incomplete. Unless we receive education, we will continue to remain backward. The Ministry of Minority Affairs runs 15 different schemes for minority communities, but many people are unaware of where the department is located, who the district officials are, or where the Directorate functions. With education, all such information becomes accessible. He appealed to everyone to educate their sons and daughters so that future generations can access departmental information and avail maximum benefits.The President of the organization, S.K.
