Support to Elderly Citizens under Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment

With the support of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, Manav Utthan Samiti, Lucknow operates the Radha Krishna Prerna Ashram located at Pardapur, Bilgram Road, Hardoi. On 7 November 2025, essential assistive items including tricycles, wheelchairs, silicon pillows, collar belts, waist belts, knee braces, hearing aids, and walking sticks were distributed to senior citizens. A total of 118 elderly beneficiaries received support, and hundreds of people attended the event.

Inspection of Radha Krishna Old Age Home

The Radha Krishna Old Age Home, located on Pardapur–Bilgram Road, Hardoi, operates with the cooperation of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. On 29 October 2025, the facility was inspected by the District Social Welfare Officer of Hardoi district. During the visit, 45 residents were found present, and the officer expressed satisfaction with the management and appreciated the quality of services.

Eye Check-up & Spectacle Distribution

The organization operates the Radha Krishna Ashram with full residential facilities for up to 50 senior citizens, including accommodation, food, medicines, and clothing. A specialized eye camp was organized where all residents were examined, and prescription spectacles were distributed. Social worker Dr. Harveer Singh and BDC Member Nepali Yadav were present during the program.

Distribution of Leather Bags & Essentials

With support from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, leather bags and essential items were distributed to the residents of the Radha Krishna Old Age Home. BDC Pradhan Shri Nempal Yadavled the distribution and expressed gratitude to the elderly residents. Social worker Rajni Vermaemphasized the dedication with which the ashram serves its residents.

International Yoga Day Celebration – 21 June 2025

A Yoga Day celebration was organized at Radha Krishna Shraddha Ashram, Hardoi, beginning with Surya Namaskar. Trainers Amit Kumar, Jitendra Kumar, Akash Kumar, and Rajni Verma conducted yoga sessions for elderly residents and the local community. Participants were taught about yoga’s benefits for back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, and spinal health.

Awareness Campaign for Elderly Care – April 2025

On 24 April 2025, coordinator R.K. Chaurasia led a comprehensive awareness campaign across nearby villages using a publicity vehicle. Awareness was spread at bus stands, taxi stands, police stations, schools, Anganwadi centers, and self-help groups. Families were counselled on elderly welfare and community responsibility.

Religious & Cultural Program – February 2025

From 20 to 21 February 2025, a devotional program featuring the 24-hour recitation of Sunderkand and Ramcharitmanas was organized. After the recitation, prasad and a community feast were served. Many district officials, social workers, and respected citizens participated.

Social Audit (23–26 September 2023)

A Social Audit Team conducted a multi-day audit at the Fardapur Old Age Home. Team members interacted with residents, reviewed documentation, and offered suggestions for improvement. Residents regularly participate in activities including bhajan-kirtan, yoga, and recreation.

Road Safety Awareness Programme – 29 May 2019

With the cooperation of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Manav Utthan Samiti organized a road safety awareness event at Vedar Block, Hardoi. The program featured puppet shows, posters, public demonstrations, and safety instructions. Chief Guest Mr. R.K. Tiwari highlighted the importance of helmets, seat belts, and safe driving practices.

Free Eye-Checkup & Spectacles Distribution for Truck Drivers – 21 May 2022

On 21 May, at the Lucknow Toll Plaza on the Lucknow–Agra Expressway, with the cooperation of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, Manav Utthan Samiti organized a free eye-checkup and spectacles distribution drive for truck drivers. Chief guest Mr. Ramesh Chandra Dubey, Chief Security Officer, inaugurated the event. Committee coordinator Mr. R.K. Chaurasia welcomed the chief guest with a garland and memento. Security officials Rajesh Kumar Singh Chandel, B.P. Verma,Dinesh Singh, and Ashok Singh were also honored.

A medical team including Dr. Ugrasen Yadav, Aarti Nag,Sonika Pandey, Mumtaz Ali, Virendra Singh,Naman Tripathi, and A.P. Singh participated actively. Around80 truck drivers underwent eye examinations and received free spectacles. The camp continued from21 May 2022 to 27 May 2022.

Women’s Day – Financial Literacy & Investment Awareness Program

A financial literacy and investment awareness program was organized by Manav Utthan Samiti, Lucknow on the occasion of Women’s Day at Ram Vihar Colony, Rajajipuram, Lucknow. The session focused on empowering women with essential financial knowledge, encouraging savings, investment planning, and awareness of government schemes designed for women.

Minority Affairs Awareness Seminar – 29 June 2019

With support from the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, a one-day seminar was held on29 June 2019 at Hardauli, Tehsil Baberu, District Banda. Chief guestChandrapal Kushwaha inaugurated the program. Former Director M.L. Gupta and Government Advocate Kaushal Kishore Sharma were present.

The seminar focused on government schemes including Seekho Kamao, USTTAD,Nai Manzil, Hamari Dharohar, Naya Savera, andNai Roshni. Speakers highlighted the importance of education, awareness, and accessibility to government benefits. Coordinator Ramkishor Chaurasia emphasized the role of education in enabling communities to understand and access welfare schemes.
